Why does this package exist?
HDB BTO homeowners are given the choice of whether they want to have the living room and bedrooms come with preinstalled tiles by the developers or bare condition. Many new HDB BTO homeowners choose not to take up the preinstalled floor tiles offer due to limited tiles selections or they wish to have better tiling workmanship.

What is provided in the HDB BTO Tiling Package?
- Haulage (labour to transport cement and tiles from the ground floor to the unit)
- Disposal (labour to remove all the rubbish and debris after tiling work is completed)
- Protective sheet for doors (So that the condition of the door is preserved with minimum cement stain)
- Labour to screed and tile the floor and skirting for the living room and all bedrooms
- Materials (2 in 1 cement screed, chemical bonding, tile fix cement, etc)
- Tiles from Hafary @ $3psf (after GST) including wastage
- General cleaning of the floor tiles after tiling is completed
Terms & Conditions
- Tile size: 600x600mm
- Type of tiles: Homogeneous, porcelain or ceramic only
- Any complicated design will incur additional labour cost: for example subway or herringbone design
- Maximum height from original concrete base (cement screed + tiles): same level as original HDB kitchen floor tiles
- Cement grouting (colour can only be the closest match and not 100% matching)
- Cleaning will be restricted to the new flooring only. Other area is not applicable.
- There will be some cement stain on the wall. Client is advised to do painting work for their house.
- All work will be billed under Budget Reno who is a HDB licensed Contractor
- If client choose a more expensive tiles, client just need to top up for the price difference.
- Price is confirmed after viewing of the HDB original floor plan.
Calculation for higher tiles price top up
Example now you choose a $3.50 psf tile after GST, this means that there is a $0.50 price difference. For a HDB BTO 4 room flat, the top up will usually cost $0.50 x 750sqft x 1.1 (wastage)=$412.50.
