In this post, we will talk about Singapore tiling price list. In a tiling project, there are a few basic components:
- Hacking
- Haulage
- Disposal
- Protective sheet
- Labour to tile
- Materials (cement, etc)
- Tiles
- Cleaning after tiling work
The components that we will be talking about for this post is labour to tile, materials, tiles and cleaning cost. For hacking, haulage, disposal and protective sheet, we will talk about in another post which I will put the link here or below.

Tile Cost
General tile cost start around $3.00 psf after GST. The other component to count for tiles is wastage. General wastage percentage is 10%. The bigger the tiles, the higher the wastage. For any tile size bigger than 1200mm onward, the wastage will be 15%. For example a 300 sqft living room, the tile cost will be 300sqft x $3 x 1.1 = $990. For skirting, each feet will be $3.00 (tile price). So 50ft of skirting will be 50ft x $3.00 = $150.
General Chemical Cleaning Cost
The main purpose of cleaning is to clean off the dust and cement after the tiling work. The starting price for the cleaning work starts from $200. The amount really depends on how much to clean. For example, 2 x HDB bathroom will be $200 only. For a 250sqft living room + 2 x bedroom floor (about 140sqft each) will be about $250. For a landed property, it can goes up as high as $1500. The cleaning is only applicable to tiled areas and not furniture, window or other fixtures. General chemical cleaning work is carried out by cleaning professional who knows how to use the correct amount of suitable chemical to do the cleaning.
How to compute the cost for tiling?
Its basically Labour Cost + Material Cost + Tile Cost + Cleaning. For example for a 300 sqft HDB living room floor with 70ft of skirting:
- Labour for tiling: 300 sqft x $6 + 70ft x $6 = $2,220
- Material for tiling: 300sqft x $2.50 + $100 (for skirting) = $850
- Tiles @ $3 psf including GST including 10% wastage: (300sqft x $3 x 1.1) + (70ft x $3) = $1200
- General Chemical Cleaning: $150
Total Cost = $2,220 + $850 + $1,200 + $150 = $4,420
Please note that hacking, haulage, disposal and protective sheet is not inclusive yet. The cost for this part really depends on many other factors.
